With the depart of Alber Elbaz, who's been a head designer for the brand for 14 years, label struggle to find a suitable designer for the role of it's creative director.

Whilst they are looking for the replacement of Elbaz the fall 2016 collection had to created from the interim design team and received lukewarm comments from fashion industry. But finally search come to an end and brand announced their new creative director: Bouchra Jarrar

For my opinion I couldn't imagine a Elbaz-less Lanvin but I hope this french born designer will be a fresh breath for the brand. At least she got the good background with the brands such as Balenciaga, Lacroix and her personal haute couture line. Well, time will tell anyway.
